Peers

ABRPO can provide community support and training for Peers in Ontario. Our training models are based on the principles of holistic health that serve to support Peers in their grief through capacity building and community connection.

Peers

We recognize the invaluable contributions of workers with lived experience. Through our Turning To One Another (TTOA) Network program, we are invested in building the capacity of Peer workers by:

  • Developing specific tools and trainings that respond to the challenges presented by being a worker with lived experience.
  • Building skills for workshop facilitation and development.
  • Learning to navigate the complex existence of being a Peer Volunteer and transiting into a paid Peer role within your agency.
  • Increase understanding of communication and the role it plays as an advocate not only for yourself, but those that you work with.
